Chamela & Careyes

The Bat of Chamela and Careyes lie within the coastal regions of Jalisco, Mexico. You’ll need a friend that has a friend that owns a house in one of the many homes located in gated communities to enjoy the offerings of these two neighboring destinations. Or if you are lucky and manage to get an invitation to the annual Ondalinda festival that takes place in Careyes in late October, make your way to dinner at Playa Rosa or my favorite neighborhood gem, Casa De Nada, which is a little beach shack with some of the best guacamole and zucchini lasagna you can find in Jalisco. No matter how you get there, you’ll never want to leave.
